How to set up a Project
Learn how to launch a project, invite your team and clients, and add project details.
1. How do I begin creating a new project in Graditi?
To start, click the large plus icon at the top-right corner of the project dashboard. This will open a 7-step process to create a new project.
2. What information should I prepare before starting a new project?
Before creating a project, gather the following if applicable:
- Project contract and timeline.
- Product selection options (with pictures).
- Progress draw schedule.
- Related documents.
- Client contact information.
3. What details are required in the General Information step?
You’ll need to provide:
- Project name.
- Expected start and completion dates (using the calendar).
- Project address.
- Additional notes for the team and clients (optional).
4. Can I share milestone dates with clients?
Yes. You can choose to share milestone dates with clients by checking the "Allow client(s) to see milestone dates" box during this step.
5. How do I upload floor plans and designs?
- Click the Add File button under the "Floor Plans and Designs" section.
- Select a file from your computer to upload.
- Uploaded files will appear organized by name, date added, and category.
6. How do I manage uploaded files?
- Click the ellipsis icon next to any file to view or delete it.
7. How do I invite clients to a project?
- If creating a project from a Closed Won opportunity, client information is automatically included.
- Otherwise, select New Contact (to add a new client) or Existing Contact (to use saved client information). Fill in details like name, email, phone number, and address.
8. Can I invite multiple clients to a project?
Yes, you can invite multiple clients by clicking the Add Another Contact button. However, only one client can be designated as the Primary Contact by checking the corresponding box.
9. How do I assign internal team members to a project?
- Use the dropdown menu on the right to select team members already added as users in Graditi.
- Once assigned, their names will appear below.
- To remove a team member, hover over their name and click the "X" button.
10. Can I control the visibility of team members for clients and trades?
Yes, you can choose whether internal team members are visible to clients or trades by toggling the "Show on Client" or "Show on Trade" options. However, all contacts are visible on the Builder Dashboard.
11. Is it mandatory to upload a project contract?
No, uploading a project contract is optional. However, it’s highly recommended to ensure clarity and safety for both you and your clients.
12. How do I upload a project contract?
- Click the Add File button under the "Upload Contract" section.
- Select a file from your computer to upload.
- Enter the Initial Contract Value and any Collected Deposit (optional). These fields can be updated later.
13. How do I upload a project photo for the client dashboard?
- Click the Browse button or drag a photo into the dropbox.
- Crop the photo using the zoom and straighten tools.
- Confirm your upload by clicking the Upload button.
14. Can I save progress while creating a project?
Yes. You can save your progress at any time as a template by clicking the save button in the navigation bar.
